ABOUT

Lara García Landa (she/they) is a queer, Mexican, New York-based actor and director. She is a certified Lucid Body instructor and an actor combatant with the SAFD.

Lara received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater with honors from New York University in May 2020. While at NYU, she attended Tisch School of the Arts and trained at the Experimental Theater Wing. Lara also spent a semester at NYU Berlin at the Stanislavski, Brecht and Beyond Program, where she participated in the Festival Internationale Neue Dramatik (FIND) Plus.

Her passion for theater has driven her to explore different developmental areas of the entertainment business since she was very young, participating in projects as a writer, stage manager, and producer; however, her main interests are acting and directing. She hopes to do theater that threatens the status quo, pushes people to question their own beliefs, and inspires others to make a positive change. She is interested in collaborative work and art that explores social issues.
